If you love these themes and topics there are two ways to work with me and some tools you can use in your day to day.

So welcome. Dear listeners to the discipline of freedom podcast. This is a space to discover. Delighted and chair, how aligning with the cosmic flow invites us to recall reclaim. And remember our own power of creation. As we build our lives. And did legacies purposefully. Profitably liberating, our pleasure and play. This is your host Ali specie. This episode, I'm joined by my friend and fellow astrologer. He's just wonderful and, uh, stays. Yeah. Um, we did a previous one on Anna. Sarah can, so listen to that. I can't remember which number it is, but I put it into the show notes. And we're talking about the upcoming Mars retrograde. We're already in Mars pre shadow. So you may be feeling that and Mars is your drive. Your ambition, your will. So it's that. Decisive energy of being able to choose one thing over another. And when it goes into retrograde, you may feel. A retreat of this power. And I believe that in this particular retrograde, it's really asking us to consider how we want to direct and focus. Will our ambition. So, this is a really wonderful conversation with Anastasia. And there's this lovely. Um, backwards and forwards that you get went to people who are really skilled. In what they're doing, but they interpreted in such a different way. And a Stacey is also a marketer. So you get the great value of that. And of course we get my spirituality and branding and a little poetry and Kundalini yoga thrown in. Because I just can't help myself. So I'd recommend you getting your headphones on. Going for a walk or grab your favorite beverage, sit down and just tune in. We are going to work through each of the individual houses. So have your chart ready? So you know exactly where this Mars retrograde is going to be impacting you. And I'd suggest that when you hear your sign, Your rising sign. That you know, The time, because you might want to come back and listen to this. When the bar's richer, Kate gets a bit rough it's around for a few months. And let me know at the end, if you've got any questions or if you'd like to know more. So let's enjoy and let's get into it. Hi darling, how are you? Hello, how are you? Nice to see you. Nice to see you too. Yeah, it's been crazy busy this eclipse. How was the eclipse for you? Um, it was probably one of the churniest eclipses that I've felt. Everyone's been saying that. I think it's because we're having free eclipses, right? So, help me understand. From my understanding, usually the eclipse is two weeks. The extra one. We have a whole month of the eclipse season, the dragon hole. Oh, wow. Well, yes, you're right. Yeah, we do. We do. And everybody is free. Nobody's sleeping. Well, um, that's one of the things, and I think people are noticing differently in a, you know, in a way that they haven't noticed before. Yeah. I think that's really, really, prescient in terms of, I'm hearing people talk all the time about how Oh my God, I'm not sleeping or strange things are happening and I feel like I feel my identity or what I've been working on is just being blown open. Like, it's quite interesting. I've been invited to talk. Somebody contacted me out of the blue to talk about branding. Sustainable fashion. No, I, oh, that's fun. I love it. And you know, and I'm like, okay, what do I know about sustainable fashion? And my intention going into the call was that they'd invite me to come and talk. So there's next week is sustainable fashion week in Adelaide. But I thought, okay, well, that's interesting. And I could see how, and it's, it's, And so, so I didn't hold anything back in terms of, you know, I spoke spirituality. I spoke about astrology. I spoke about all of those things. And really at the core of my work is that onto such a time as onto such a time as we, we fill the hole, which is our moon. We fill the hole in ourselves. That we're going to constantly be looking externally for that. Like it's the, it's what I call the religious pursuit of more. We want a retail fix or, you know, we want another party or we, we need to feel that something's happening. And I don't believe that desire is ever going to go away. Don't get me wrong on that one. But I think this is so important. And so next week I'm going to Adelaide to talk on a forum about sustainable fashion. And then the same week, all this sustainable building started coming through. And I thought, Oh my God, you know, cause I studied construction for like five years. And I had a knitting business in my twenties. I have a jewelry business. And so it's, it feels as if the worlds are colliding in a sense. And when I started the jewelry business, at the time I really wanted to do furniture. And I thought, no, I can ship jewelry around the world and not feel guilty about it. You know, cause it's so small, but really is there a point in shipping? I mean, is there a point in shipping anything really? Let's be perfectly honest. Yeah. Well, hopefully we can get to a point where we don't need to do that as much. But you know, as a Sagittarius, it's kind of nice to get a little part of a different world. But that's not really why we ship though, right? That's not really why we're not really getting, Oh, I want like a dress from a different culture. We, we do want to be cheaper. I think it's a beautiful idea of getting something from a different world. Yeah. But what we're doing is, is, I mean, we're shipping water, we're shipping cans of tomatoes, you know, we're shipping, you know, there's one friend, there's a friend of mine who, when I proposed this concept at one stage, he said, that's my entire business card. Because he brings nostalgic food from Ireland. And from other countries to Australia. Oh, nice. Yeah. We'll see things like that. Those are nice. But what you're saying is I agree with what you're saying. I think there should be a balance and an ability to still ship something from another world. Like what you're saying, nostalgic food from Ireland or going to the American store here in Oakland and just getting some of these really gross candies. Right. But someone's definitely appearing. You're not a Hershey's girl or Oreos or one of those. But you know, there's people are like, you know, people that move from home, but what you're saying, I agree with, because I know that the milk that's being shipped to China is being repackaged and then resold to New Zealand, you know, it's just, we don't need to do that. No. And when you look at supply chain, what you realize is that the people who are making things, you know, one of my favorite stats, and I'm not a stat person, I may need to become a stat person, but I'm not a stat person. One of my favorite things is you make 900 percent more profit from selling cornflakes than corn. And so there is something in the whole food industry, which is really, really shocking that you need to address from that whole production and it's now called, you know, the standard American diet. And I love that the acronym for it is SAD. Because they have proven that it's actually making people sick as opposed to keeping them well and healthy. And there's also the joke of what Adam, I mean, we're getting into many tangents here, you know, the South Park episodes, but the pharmaceutical companies are fighting with the food processing companies. Because, because of Mozambique, people are eating a lot less. And so it's so, you know, so I think we're at this. We are in a dragon hoe and well, we're in the belly of the dragon and it's, the dragon is fighting its own self, isn't it? You know? It's like, okay, so there's the south node, which is where you come from and what you know, and there's many gifts and talents and beauty in the south node. There's lots of skills there. And there's also all of these things that you're just going to go with that system doesn't work anymore. That system doesn't work anymore. And people have been conditioned to behave and believe in a certain way. And the reality of it is, is that it is twerking. And, and then you have the head of the dragon who's going like, I want more, more, more. I want more experiences. I want new experiences. And I see within Gen Z, I hear my niece is going that they want to travel business class. I don't know if you want to travel, but like you're at the thrill of traveling business class. Yeah. I've noticed that about Gen Z's too. It's this whole attitude of we want the best because we deserve it. Why do you deserve it? Oh, because, well, because we do deserve it, because we're so great. It's like, okay, that's great, but then why don't you have it? It's, it's interesting, right? Perfect. Um, so yeah, no, I think it's a really interesting time. And I think this dragon hole is interesting because I'm hearing a lot of change and transition and awareness of the hyperinflation that's occurring. People are concerned. I mean, and And it feels like a fear agenda. It feels, that's what it feels like. You know, people are concerned about their futures. They're concerned about their standard of living. And I mean, then you look at what's going on and where the wars are, and we won't mention them by name. But, There is a, what I've been always calling for the last 10 or 15 years, the revolution of revelation and, and it doesn't make any sense anymore. You know, there was a point where I think people understood the concept of going to war for to protect your freedom and to protect your country. But we're also interconnected, you know, I mean, taking the example of your coffee. I mean, as I say, it takes hundreds of people to get your coffee to you. So. How can you, for a moment, argue against any particular nation, any particular place, any particular belief system? I mean, I think that it's, the world is calling for curiosity, kindness, and love. Yeah, I agree with you, and it'll be interesting to see, but that's not the whole world, unfortunately. Unfortunately, a lot of people are bought into the idea that There's the other still, you know, and you can see that from, again, I don't really want to get too political. It just gives me, as the zoomers say, the ick now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the ick. Is that, have you watched that? Have you watched the Nobody Wants This? No. Yeah, there's a whole thing on the ick. I'll have to, I'll have to check it out. It's great. I binged it in one night and I don't watch TV. So it was just so well written. Yeah. I'll have to check it out. Because I don't watch anything, any new shows on TV either normally, unless there's something really good out there. There's a movie that I heard about, I actually talk about that, now I'm jumping subjects. But I just wanna, I did wanna share this with you, because this is on the subject of Jupiter and Opportunity. And I feel like, Ties into this eclipse season, especially because Jupiter is in Gemini at the moment and the way it's interacting with these eclipses, you know, it was trining the self note for a while. So, so with the opportunity that, you know, we discussed in the class, right? When I talked about in the way I see it, and I think I see it that way because I have Jupiter in Virgo and it's that. Oh, you've got Jupiter and Virgo. Oh, that's an interesting place to have Jupiter. I do, with the Sun and Sagittarius, so they're a mutual reception. So I've always felt close to Virgos in general. But the point being is That sometimes when we, again, back to that conversation of when you talked about what you've noticed with your niece wanting to travel first class, not just travel somewhere, not just, oh, let me jump on the plane. Let me see a different country, but I want to travel first class. I want to get the best of the best. I want to, you know, stay in the best hotels. I want to get the best service. I want to live my best life. I want luxury. You know, there's a lot of promotions around luxury fashion as well. So it's interesting that you're going into the environmental fashion. I feel like that is the progress. That is a step. But what I was saying here is that coming back to opportunities and coming back to desire and coming back to all these subjects, we feel like we want something. But oftentimes it's not what we actually want, because the way that we imagine it is not how we are going to experience it. We might not get the same sensation. You might go out and get that, you know, that Prada or that Louis Vuitton bag that you've always dreamt of. And that first purchase, That, you, you've saved up some money, you work really hard, it will feel really good, but then you go out and do it again, buy another bag and it just, it's not the same anymore. It loses its spark. In economics, it's called the, I think it's called the power of diminishing returns. Correct. And it's interesting because this is such a perfect segue into our Mars conversation, Mars retrograde. That, you know, to speak about Jupiter, which is seen as the benefic. It's seen as the opportunity. It's called the Santa Claus of the Zodiac, you know, it's expansion. And it's so interesting because I. Don't see Jupiter as that kind of retail sort of concept, but I see it as this wonderful, it's expanding yourself into a version of yourself that you, as you say, you imagine, you know, it's like, oh, our society is saying is that if you have that Louis ton bag, that you're signaling that you are a quality person, that you're a person of luxury, and where I see Jupiter is, is that it's expanding you beyond yourself. So I see Jupiter in the space of where, you know, I listened to Alan Watts yesterday, one of his talks, and I think Alan Watts is great. He was coming back to as long as we're seeking, as long as we're, you know, pushing, you know, as long as we're kind of thinking there's going to be some guru or there's going to be some guide or somebody who's going to turn that key that is going to finally open whatever that door is at whatever level you're at. That it's a fallacy and you're buying into this concept of, oh, that there's more, you know, and more is not simply material goods. I mean, I think our world is definitely caught in the space of material goods. You know, I always joke, I mean, I've spent a lot of time in India. I used to make my jewelry there. And I joke that people thought that when you landed at Sydney Airport, you were handed a car, a house, an Apple laptop and a phone, you know, you lived happily ever after. You know, people have no concept of how hard people work for what they have. Um, And so that's expansion. And I come back to this quote all the time by Einstein is that imagination is more important than knowledge because knowledge will only ever bring you as far as everything that you've known, you've seen, or you've experienced. You know, to me, that's what meditation is for. That's what expansion is about, Oh, wow. Can I imagine beyond myself? Can I go beyond myself? Whereas Jupiter can open up that opportunity, but you need Mars to go through the door. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Yeah, I love that. And if if you don't mind, I might try and complete my point before by by adding to yours right now. And it's that the way that the way that I see Jupiter is exactly how you describing it, because that's how I experienced it. Sometimes you get Jupiter, some of the opportunity is that they usually look like misfortunes. They usually looks like, look like things that you don't want to have, you know, like, um, breaking up with a partner that, you know, you thought that you're going to spend the rest of your life with. And then, it's a painful experience and you miss them. And in a year later, you look back and you think, wow, if that didn't happen, then I wouldn't have. This and this and this in my life, or maybe getting fired from a job or maybe getting hired into a job that you don't want to be in, or, you know, losing, um, losing on your, all your money, gambling, things like that, that makes you realize maybe I shouldn't gamble anymore, things like that. They're actually opportunities. Like you're saying for expansion and what is expansion? Essentially it's growth and it's growth as a person, but there's a butt there, which is really important. You have to be able to see, right, this misfortune happened. It's not to say that it's not victim blame. It's not to say everything is your fault, but what can I do next time? What have I learned from this? And the reason why it's not victim blaming and the reason why it's an opportunity, because you want to make it an opportunity. It's up to you. It's really, that's why astrology can be. So empowering. That's why life can be so empowering. I feel like. What do you, what do you think of that? Oh, I completely, completely and absolutely agree with that. Because I think that you've got to look at, is life happening for you? Which is, Jupiterian. And, as, we've spoken about before is, you know, you've got three minds, you've got everything comes through the negative mind first, then it goes to the positive mind. So first is the sympathetic nervous system, which is fight or flight. Then we go to the parasympathetic. Oh, where's the opportunity if I'm not under threat, then we go to the neutral mind, which is objective. And we can do this, you know, within seconds. And we're always making an emotional decision. Now, We've got a thousand thoughts running through a blink of an eye, every blink of the eye, a thousand thoughts. And each thought can be negative or positive. And so you get to choose. And it's really bringing back this locus of control. It's really bringing it back to, okay, so I am in control of my destiny. It's radical self responsibility. And that is the greatest challenge, I think, to get to the point in your life where you can't go. Wow, I can see everything as an opportunity and it doesn't always mean that you take the opportunity, but it's around. You see everything that happens to you as happening for you. And I think that's a very, it's a challenging space to be in, but it's so powerful. And I actually believe. I was speaking to another astrologer about this yesterday. I don't spend all my time with astrologers, but I was speaking to another astrologer yesterday. And we were talking about this exact thing that, you know, the whole economy and everything is focused on the other. And what we want is to get to the space of where we realize, you know, we're all one. But I think the only way through that, and this comes back to Jung and his journey of individuation is we've got to, we've got to get to the we through I, you know, and if we spent our time on the I, then there would be no wars, you know, as long as there's anger in any person, then we're dealing with that. And, and we have to experience our anger and own our anger for it to come to peace. Yes, absolutely. I 100 percent agree. I love how you so gracefully brought us back to Mars as well. And what we're And what we came here to discuss. Because yes, that's, that's exactly right. I, like, so full heartedly, in my bones, agree with that. This is the philosophy of my life, is that, and I'm not perfect at that, because I do have Mars and Scorpio as well, and that's not to blame planets. Nobody is perfect at it. No one is. Sometimes I, sometimes I do find myself blaming someone else, like, my family, my sister, my partners, like, no, you did this, and then I had to sit back and think, wait, how is it making me feel? Why is this happening to me? What am I learning here? How can I be better? Because we feel as though, woe me, right? We feel oftentimes as I ended up like, not saying I did, but often we think, and it's this really popular terminology, like, well, my boyfriend or my husband is a narcissist or he's toxic or all of that, but why are you in that relationship? And he might be toxic, but what is it within you that doesn't feel like you have? the, not just the right, but what is it in you that it feels like you have to be in this relationship then? Why are you? Yes, it's terrible. But it's also looking for what's good. I mean, there's a real discipline for looking for what's bad. And I mean, and people took the discipline of looking for what's good as seriously as they look for the false. We live in a very different world and, you know, it's like misery loves company, you know, and it's a culture of complaint. Um, and the reality of it is, is that, you know, nobody is perfect. We all have things about us that are annoying to other people and particularly to the people that we're intimate with, you know, they kind of go like, why do you have to do that? But as soon as you accept that that's what they do. Number one, they may well stop doing this, but as soon as it loses the charge and, you know, and that's a Mars energy, like, as soon as it loses that charge to really irritate the fuck out of you, you know, then suddenly it's like, okay, well, look at him go, you know, and in a way when we're so attached to somebody stopping the behavior, it's almost like, cause if we're amplifying and being Jupiter and we're expecting, you know, Expanding that behavior. Yes. My next point to that, to exactly what you're saying, like, what if that person that you are finding blame at, what if they're not toxic? What if they're obviously everyone has their faults, but what if you were not noticing, for instance, that he's a great handyman or, you know, he brought you flowers last week or that he always. Messages you good morning every morning. Like what if you're not noticing the good and the fulfillment and like you're saying, really honing in on that gratitude practice and expanding that and seeing what changes because maybe if you become a little bit more grateful. For the things that you already have. Maybe those things will grow. It's like what you water will grow. What you water will expand. Right? And in Kantorini Yoga we talk about what do you want a bigger experience of? And what do you want to be? I mean I talk about this in branding. You know, for your positioning, it's like, what experience do you want to be for somebody else? Do you want to be an expander for somebody else? Which is, do you want to be their Jupiterian person? Do you want to be somebody where, you know, if you go on a date, do you want that person to leave feeling better for the experience? Do you want them to feel seen and feel elevated and feel so much better? And even if you never see them again, imagine if you were bringing that energy to it, you know, and I'm not for a moment suggesting that that's always easy because it's not always easy, but the intention is so much and I do think that it's super useful and I know I have a very, um, unusual take on Mars and my take on Mars is that most people spend all of their lives looking for what they want, you know, what they're told they want, what other people say they want. It's either from your parents or your peers. And really what Mars wants you to do is to get really clear on what your desires are. And focus your energy in that space and really bring that energy in a jupiterian way, because there's nothing achieved without Mars. You know, it's your, it's your action. It's your ambition. It's your will. And imagine if you spent your life focused on fulfilling your desires. As opposed to buying another pair of shoes, another bag, having to have a particular boyfriend because he fitted your status or your idea, you know, because we're, we spend so much time in that pleasing of others. So how about thinking in terms of like, what do I deeply and truly desire? And can I allow myself to have that? Yes. So if I may reword, I do love your unusual take on Mars and it's, it's great. And I agree with you. It's unusual. I've listened to some of the podcasts that already out there on Mars and retrograde. I don't normally spend my, time in astrology podcasts anymore. I wanted, wanted to get an idea. Yeah. wanted to get an idea, and I feel like there's not enough of that information that Mars relates to. Our desire relates to what we want to, it's this energy that goes outwards, right? So it, Venus is the energy that. Within it's feminine. So Venus is magnetizing. Yeah, exactly. And Mars is seeking, right? So Venus is. Um, you know, like, like the feminine energy, like a woman or like anything else, it's, it's taking things and magnetizing Mars is seeking out. Where should I put my desire into? What should I do? It's very, it is very masculine energy and by masculine. I don't mean. Gender, I mean, energetically, I mean, the Jungian concept of masculine versus feminine. What every human being has within themselves, the anima and the animus. So Venus is the anima, Mars is the animus. It's the masculine within us. I asked a friend yesterday, so what do you think about Mars? And she said, oh, it's aggression, isn't it? And I said, well, it's not just aggression. How about if you directed to that life force energy? Cause it is prana. You know, and it's, it's kind of the sun's energy in a sense, isn't it? You know, and if you think of Venus as being the moon's energy, you know, so they're reflecting each other and they need each other. One of the quotes that I like is that the, that the masculine energy is the landscape and the feminine is the weather. And the weather shapes the landscape. And where I see these energies working is, is that in the, in this world, which is really focused on action, and there is a lot of aggression for sure. What we have is a lot of business, a lot of action, a lot of doing, which is another way of saying masculine energy. It's, it's a doing energy, you know, it's, it's in the world. But if you're out there and you're super busy doing before you've paused, the power of the pause, before you've stopped and thought, so what is I want to actually accomplish? What do I want to achieve? What do I deeply desire? And that to me is the work of the feminine. So the feminine, It's tuned in, gets into alignment and it divines, you know, it dives deep, it divines. Then it declares what it desires. And as I say, the masculine likes direction. And you give a direction and then that's actually where the journey for manifestation is the journey for accomplishment, where it all begins is after you've declared and you've truly owned what it is that you desire. Yeah. Oh, sorry. Go on. I was interrupting you. I got excited. Sorry. Go on. As if I never do that. I do that all the time. And, and it's like, and that's where the work begins is the gap between embodying that desire. and deserving your desire and, you know, and there will be times that you will discover that, as you said in the very beginning, that what you thought you desired. Is not what you truly want it. And one of the things also, I think, on that journey of experimentation, and it's a constant, it's a dynamic conversation, is that you're course correcting as you're going, but you're always pausing to go, okay, so am I directing my energy in the right direction? Do I have, as Stephen Covey would say, the ladder against the right wall, which is very Capricornian. Am I climbing the right mountain? And Capricorn has that fishtail. So it's always, you know, remember it's a feminine energy, and it's always tuning in and saying, okay, are we going the right direction? Am I navigating? It's kind of like the, what's the, Is it the rudder, or is it, what is it, the thing that steers the boat? You know, so. Asking the wrong person. Yeah, so I was gonna go back to my question to you, is, do you feel like one of the manifestations of this Mars in retrograde would be redirecting our desire? Oh my God, that's such a great question. Um, I've been thinking about this retrograde since you, suggested this podcast, this conversation. And I've been thinking, what does Mars do? You know, where, Mars is It's, um, you know, it will be in Leo and in cancer, right? So we think in terms of, you know, cancer is very much around that space of, okay, our self security. What are we nurturing? What are we taking care of? Are we taking care of self? Because if we're not taking care of self. We can't be in service of others. We can't nurture others. If we're giving from an unfulfilled or an empty cup, because then what I call it is you're building a bucket of resentment in the corner because you're depleting your own resources. So what you really want to do is resource yourself, um, which follows on obviously from others, other things, but, and then Leo. Is very much, you know, look at me. It's the ruler. It knows how to put on this performance. And it's also in that space of, um, self expression. So I do, and it's interesting that, you know, it's super interesting that we will be having the energies there because it's around, okay, so how am I so clear and my own self security and taking care of my own confidence. and building my own confidence that I feel, I might be nervous about it still, but I feel confident to express myself in the world. And that brings us from the I through to the we, doesn't it? That's my take on it. Yeah, I love that take and I just wanted to add with what you were saying about cancer and Leo specifically the archetypes and what do they have in common and they're both like what you mentioned with cancer being security, but if you think about it, both of them have the energy of the protector and defender and if cancer is, I'm the protector of my family and and the people around me and the close ones to me and also the protector and defender Defender of my emotions, right? Because cancers can get very, I don't want to use that, that word, let me think of another way, can get very defensive around how they feel if, if these emotions are not felt. But Leo is also the protector and that's the protector of a bigger tribe. He is the king, he's the ruler, and he's the leader. So, um, yeah. This, the self defense mechanism as well is something that we'll need to shatter in order to Expand that from what you're talking about from I to we so if we break that illusion or if we break that Need to protect ourselves and my emotions from sharing them and become vulnerable with other people We can reach out and what you were saying go from I to we Does does that resonate with you? It completely resonates. And one of the things that just dropped in, as you were saying that is, Oh my God, cancer rules the moon and Leo rules the sun. So, so when you look at an astrological chart, they are at the bottom, they're leading the charge, you know, they're the luminaries essentially. The sun reflects the moon, and so without the sun, nothing would grow. Without the sun, we would have no life. And then the moon, you know, you plant by the moon, things grow in cycles. And it reminds us, I mean, both of them remind us of cycles. The sun reminds us of the daily cycle. The moon reminds us of the monthly cycle. We have a solar year. We have seasons and they're really, I hadn't, I really hadn't made the connection with Mars passing through them and Mars, the Mars retrograde being there. It's very much bringing us back to nature and bringing us back to our true nature. And our true nature is, is that everything that we need is within us. You know, that we are a reflection of, I am, I am who I am because of who you are. Yes. Yes. It's interesting because we cannot exist without other people, yet we're always looking for ourselves in the eyes of the other. And I love that you're going back to the fact that Cancer is ruled by the moon and Leo is ruled by the sun. I completely forgot that point as well, which makes this Mars retrograde so incredibly personal to each and every one of us. This is us. Really going deep and figuring out our emotions and I know you don't love Mars to just represent aggression, but part of it will probably mean for a lot of people looking into that, looking into that vault where we locked up a lot of our suppressed feelings and maybe even anger in order to deal with it, in order to turn it into something positive. Something more, something useful, something like a lesson, and then use that to self actualize, to self express in the world. And you know, art therapy is a real thing. So taking your emotions and creating something out of them is, is incredibly useful, not just for yourself, but for people that resonates it with my favorite example of this is, I mean, as a tragic example, but my favorite is Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Music resonated with so many people. He's only been active for four years of his life in the music world, right? Him and, and his bandmates, Dave Grohl and, uh, Chris, I forget his last name. But Nirvana hasn't been around for that long, but the way that they became famous basically overnight because that, those emotions, that pain have resonated with his generation in such an incredible way. And then we have, you know, obviously all art that has become part of our culture has a little bit of that notion in it. Where you're putting emotions into it and it resonates, like people like Van Gogh, another man who was carrying a lot of pain, still known to be one of the best artists in the world, and that name rings with everybody. And this is not a formula on how to get famous, this is a formula on how can I use my pain, my emotions, my feelings, my suppressed feelings. in order to self express and maybe heal the world at the same time. Um, There's so much to unpack in that. First of all, I see the aggression on Mars and I see the life force in Mars. I see the, you know, it's the prana, which is different to breath. You know, in yoga you talk about life force and it's vitality, you know, it's energy. It is aggression if it's channeled in that way, but it's also pure love if it's channeled in that way. And You know, by now that I have this, you know, kind of fascination with the polarities and for to feel great love, you've got to own all the anger in you to feel great desire. You've got to know what it is that you're saying no to, you know, and that's very often the process of how we arrive at the space of peace or the space of, kindness, of love, of self expression, our own power is by. Journeying through all that suffering through all the parts of ourselves that we've rejected. You know, and this is really an opportunity, with that cancer, Leo, I mean, I can't believe I didn't see make that connection before. And I always say that your moon, if your moon isn't fulfilled, there's always that relentless pursuit of more and you can't move into your future. If you don't own where you are now, and you can't own where you are now, if you don't own your past. And if you don't own the trauma of your past, and I'm not saying you need to revisit all of us, you know, I'm a great believer in energetic healing, as opposed to years and years of talk therapy, and I've tried both. Um, but you can drop that baggage in any moment, there can be a spark of a new perspective that allows a lot of stuff to be released, but you've got to own and take responsibility for, you know, we've all been there. been not nice people. We've all done things that we're ashamed of, or we rather we said it a different way, or we behaved in a certain way. But as long as we're in the space of, um, denial, then we've got this weight that we're carrying. And that's where suffering occurs and suffering occurs in the space of where we're between one thing and another. We're betwixt and between. There is no suffering in the space of true commitment and true discipline and devotion to your discipline and devotion to fulfilling your desire. But your desire isn't, you know, it's not a selfish desire. It's a desire for to be As fully yourself as you can be yourself. And that's something that will be constantly evolving and changing as you, as you breathe and live. And it's really, what's your unique problem that you want to solve in the world? And what's your contribution? And it's in service that we receive, it isn't giving that we receive when we see the impact of what it is that we're bringing to the world and it's the impact of the energy that you're bringing to the world. You know, we've all been in the spaces of where we've walked into a room if we're in a really shitty mood and walked into a room where somebody else is in a really shitty mood. And you can feel that man, you know, you know, like it's, it's real if anybody says, you know. It's too woo woo. It's not. It's real. And you also walk into a place where it's just this energy of joy. Completely different. And we're not going to be one or the other all the time. But you get to control the environments to a certain extent where you're in, but more than controlling the environment, and this brings us back to Viktor Frankl, is, you know, you get to choose who you're going to be in every moment. Yes. And what a beautiful example of an incredibly strong human being. And this is again, Mars, um, I might even pull up his chart and check where he's Mars is because I don't remember, but I have his chart. Wow. Incredible. person to have overcome what he had overcome. And if you guys don't know who Victor Frankl is, he wrote the Man's Search for Meaning. Thank you. And it's top five my favorite books. And he wrote it while in a Nazi camp. And he was a Jew and what he explained helped him survive the Nazi camp is two things, the hope to see his family and the meaning that he created by writing this book. And just the fact that he managed to write it and hide it, he wrote it by hand on little pieces of paper, right? And he kept hiding it from the officers in order for them not to take it away. It's just mind blowing. So just a great example of what you're saying. I love that. Now, just, um, a quick re redirection, no puns intended, but I was wondering, would you be interested in doing a little bit of a cookbook version of this, looking into this transit and looking at each rising sign and seeing what it might mean specifically for each rising sign? Are you open to that? Sure. I'd Sure. Yeah, I'll give an example. I'll start and then you can add to that. So the first one is, of course, areas rising and I love that already because it's ruled by Mars and it falls into the 4th and the 5th house. For all Aries risings, but by the way, guys, if you ever looking at any horoscopes, look at your rising sign, don't look so much at your moon and your son, try focusing on your rising sign. Primarily, um, I feel like, I feel like that would be the most accurate, but back to Aries rising fourth and the fifth house to me. That represents exactly what we're talking about, about the suppression of feelings for one, because the fourth house is our psychology as well as. Our learned behavior from our family and our ancestry and looking at that learned behavior. I feel like whatever it is, the situations in life that will come up for you during this Mars retrograde will show you where it is that you need to tweak. And you might just need to tweak it just a little bit in order to make a dramatic shift. And from that point on create whatever it is that you want to create in the world. We'll talk about the fifth house, especially if it's, you know, maybe you want to create a new life like children, or maybe you want to create actual art going back into, um, the past. And I agree with you, Eilish. I don't, I don't think you need to delve too deeply into the past all the time, but I feel like in this situation, situation specifically, it might be incredibly useful to study where you, where are you getting this behavioral I don't want to say problem, but where, where is this coming from? Whatever he's creating, let's rephrase it. Where is this coming from? Whatever is creating a problem in your life and how can you change that? What would you like to add? Um, I see the fourth house as. So I see so the second house, and this is for Aries. So the second house would be, you know, determining what your values are and determining yourself and the value that you bring into the world. So that's self worth and self esteem. And then the fourth house is about self security. How safe do you feel to now enter the world? So that's very much around that, and it's around your lineage. For Aries, and there's a discussion about whether I'm in Aries or Pisces rising, but for Aries it's around what's in your Your identity, you know, how secure do you feel in your identity? And, you know, in Mars, you know, you're ruled by Mars. So, so rather than that defensiveness that can come from, if you're not feeling super secure, you know, really look at that and go, okay, so what do I need to integrate, what do I need to revisit so that I can feel clear about who I am? And not in reaction to others, but in response. So getting some clarity around your own identity. And then for the fifth house, which rules children and play and romance and sex and, you know, it all occurs there. Remember, it's Marsden retrograde here. It's around allowing the ideas to come to you. Allowing the love to come to you, allowing the creativity to emerge within you, the power of the pause, the stop before you start, that may be, you know, worthwhile reflecting on. For sure. Um, I, I agree with all that. I think it's, I think it's great that we have such similar and different perspectives. I know, it's so funny. I just thought about it. It's great, isn't it? It's such a great example. No matter who's reading your chart, it's going to be so different. Yes. Yeah. And by the way, just to add to that, Eilish and I both did each other's charts. And it's great to have that other perspective as well. Have another eye on your chart, have another depth to it. That's why astrology is so rich because there's so many different archetypes and the ways that it's similar, but a tad bit different. So back to Back to the horoscope. So next up is Taurus. Next up is Taurus. It will be falling into your third and fourth house. You already heard a little bit about what the fourth house means, but it'll be a little bit different for you because the retrograde will start in your third house and then move into your fourth house. So to me, I see what that means is Your perspective on life and your beliefs might need to, again, have a little tweak, have a little change. So watch the situations that are beginning to arise, even in the Mars pre shadow, and by the time this podcast is released, I mean, it's already in its pre shadow. Pre shadow just means the build up before the retrograde. Just watch these situations and see Where it is that your perspective, your view, the way that you think, and maybe it's even, maybe you have too many negative thoughts, maybe, maybe you are not looking at things in the way that is. Again, positive and look what can change in order to again for house in order to change. And I like what you use the word security in order to feel more secure, especially in the world, but especially in, in your home environment and yourself and your home environment can sometimes mean yourself, your own body, your own being. What would you like to add to that? Um, tourists. It's the sensualist. That's one of the archetypes. The other one is the gardener. They're, it's a fixed earth sign. Um, and Taurus, they want to taste, touch, you know, they like luxury. They want, they want it all. Um, And Mars retrograde would be in third house. I would say that there, you know, how's your communication working for you? How is, and it's within your close environs, you know, it's like your, your thinking, your, um, And as Anastasia says, it can be your own body, you know, but how, what messages are you sending out? And again, you know, being aware of that, you know, reaction as opposed to response. I mean, Taureans don't tend to react. They tend to be defensive. You know, any Taureans I know are super stubborn and there can be a rightness to them and they really are fixed earth. Um, and. For the fourth house, it would be really getting clear on your values so that that self security is there again, you know, so, so that's important, you know, how can you work with your, how can you pause and get and spend some time really divining what your values are. And divining, you know, look in the mirror a lot, you know, it's, you're ruled by Venus and it's not vanity to look in the mirror. It's like, what's the reflection? What part of you do you need to inhabit more? What part of you do you need to bring love to? Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent. Agree. So the next one will be Gemini rising and going back to that conversation of values that you just mentioned. And I know you probably really like to add to this one because I know you love the second house perhaps because of your own chart, but Mars will be, so for Gemini's rising, rising Mars will be retrograde in your second and your third house. Now that's again, redefining your values, but also. How much do you value yourself? How do you feel about yourself? What it is that you feel that you deserve? And consciously, we might think we deserve one thing. We might feel really strongly about a perception of ourselves in one way, but unconsciously, there might be a few things that need to be again, tweaked just slightly. And that will completely change or, or bring opportunities that you didn't expect or bring a different world. Um, not worldview, but change the world around you as well. And I suppose it is. Yeah. Different, different perspective on the world birdhouse. I know you probably have a lot to add to that one. Um, no, I've got to just say again for Gemini, I mean, Gemini, you know, It's an air sign, and it's a mutable air sign. And you know, they, I often say there's no filter between the thought and the talking. Um, and so it would be worthwhile spending some time going, okay. So are those thoughts mine? You know, pause and, and get clear again on, as you say, values. I mean, the second house in Vedic astrology is around, how you create your resources in the world. So it's how you make your money. And so it's, so it's, you've got to be very clear on your own value to know the value that you're bringing to others. And then the third house. thing that came to mind as you were speaking was in the third house is that the stories you tell yourself about your own self value and your own self esteem and your own self security influence the stories you tell others. So that's super, super important. And particularly for Gemini, you know, who will have those, you know, Opposing thoughts near on your own story and own your own story and own your own self concept. Don't allow anybody give you a self concept that isn't yours. Yes. And other those stories in alignment with how you actually feel about yourself and in the world. Yeah, for sure. It's going to be the next one that's, that's going to be interesting. And a biggie, but not in a bad way, so don't break out, but Cancer Rising, it's the new first house, so it will be very, very personal for you guys, the first house. And the second house, it will relate to your body probably. And everything that has to do with your body. I know the six houses, the house of health, but I feel like the first house as well has to do with your health, especially physical health. Like are you taking care of yourself? Are you overworking? Are you stretching before, um, before a workout, all those even simple things will really matter. But then. To go a little bit deeper than that, how do you present yourself in the world? How do you feel when you are, when you go out in the world every day? Do you feel like your life is in alignment to who you are within? Do you feel like, and this is a very important question, Cancer Risings, and I want you to write it down actually, do you feel That you are living your life, or do you feel like you're living someone else's life? And that will completely change, going back to Second House, your self worth, your value, and also how you earn money in the world. Because if you're not living your life, if you're living someone else's story, so to speak, you are probably in the wrong job, probably in the wrong relationship, and probably living even a wrong routine. So really honing in. Is there a mismatch between what you see yourself to be and what you present yourself to be? Do you agree with that? Oh, I think that the only thing I have to add to that is that are you living, the best way I think to say it is that are you living somebody else's dream? You know, and cancers can give themselves away, you know, it's the nurture, it's the care, or it's the sign of the mother, it's the rule by the moon. You can give yourself away in the same way, the Pisces can give themselves away. So it is. Is it time for it to dream another dream and you're projecting, are you, so in the work that I do, it's very much in terms of choose whom it is that you, you are at your essence. Like we all grow towards our son, and that's what we want to do is you want to grow towards your son. And it's so important for cancer to really take care of. Their own emotional life. I mean, it's important for all of us, but it's really important for cancers so that that then can show up in the world, you know, is that, that you don't need. Protection. You don't need those claws. You can really be in that space of, you know, here I am, and be able to show some of that skin in a sense, you know, I'm not suggesting get naked, but, you know, but, you know, lessons. I know what you mean by that. And, um, it's funny that you say show skin because it is in the first house. Yeah, absolutely. I agree. And it's a beautiful way to describe it. Are you living someone else's dream? And what is your dream? Honing in on that again, that, that desire within you. That's very beautiful. That's the theme, isn't it? For this Mars retrograde is really, you know, are you living somebody else's dream? So thank you cancer for that. Yeah, absolutely. I agree with that. So next one will be Leo risings and that's another very personal one, of course, because that also falls in the first house, but it also in your 12 house and the 12 houses, everything that we, it's all our unconscious thoughts, everything that you see in your dreams while you're in the sleep sleep, um, state. While you're not awake, all of these unconscious things and feelings and again, desires that come up, those will be very important. I always recommend whenever something is happening in the 12th house, try and write down your dreams. And if you think you're not a big dreamer, just wait for that Mars in retrograde and then tell me all about how many dreams you see, because I feel like those will be very, very important. There'll be They'll be navigating you throughout this retrograde. They'll be showing you the path. And then once you understand, once again, This is very similar to the cancer, um, cancer risings. Once you hone in on that dream. And that's not just your desire, your dream, but whatever it is in your unconscious parts, whatever it is that you're not living out in yourself, that will then first house be presented in the world and getting in alignment with what you actually want to present. And who you are is really, really important in this, um, in this time, also taking time to yourself. I feel like it will be great because 12 house isolation being, um, going for nature walks or even going away for a couple of days, just by yourself, living, staying in the cabin somewhere, just being with your thoughts and meditation. We were really great for Leo risings at this time. What do you think? Does that resonate with you Eilish? Um, that's amazing. That's such a anti Leo thing, isn't it? To go away for a few days in a cabin by yourself and meditate and journal and, you know, get, Up close and personal with your dreams and yet, you know, the creativity lies within you, you know, for that self expression, which is what Leo is all about the story that comes to mind. And this is the Krishna and Arjuna story in the Mahabharata, where Arjuna, you know, is about to go into. About to go to war, about to go to fight and they're fighting their cousins. It's a, it's a 47 hour listen. So I don't know what it is for a read, but anyway, so at one point he's, they've come a long way for it to get to the point where they're fighting their cousins, but they have to do it. And Arjuna says, but I don't want to. And he's a warrior and you know, he's the golden warrior. And he's like, I don't want to fight. Everybody I know and love. Will die and he said, who will I celebrate my victory with, you know, I don't want to do this. And Krishna says to him, it's not your job to care about the, or to be attached to the outcome. It's your job. And this is so true for all of us in our lives. Our job is to be this. Greater version of ourselves. And, and greater is not better. It's like the essential, the most radical version of yourself and not be attached to how the outcome comes, which brings us back to our earlier conversation of Jupiter, you know, it's like, okay, here's the expansion. Here's the possibility. Here's the projection, you know, in the 12 houses, the dreams, the first houses, you know, how you show up in the world. You know, what, how are you going to show up in the world? And again, without being attached to how you'll be received. I thought it was the most powerful place to be, is to show up just as who you are. Have no idea of the outcome. Have no idea of what opportunities will come to you when you show up in this pure way. In this pure, essential, you know, power. I mean, this is the most extraordinary thing. It's the most extraordinary gift you can give yourself and you give to others because when you show up in that way, you allow other people to show up in that way. Yes. I love that. And I got chills just thinking about it because I resonate so much with the Baha'i Gita story. And I think everyone does. It's the archetypal warrior. That is the perfect myth for Mars. That is the hero's journey everyone's living out. Uh, and I love that example part of it. It's not your business. What the outcome is, and I love that you use the word outcome. Your, your business is to fulfill your dharma. You're here to fulfill your dharma and to do what it is that you came here to do. Not worry about what it will look like at the end. And that's the, again, the Leo Rising, their creativity point of view, but rather just focus on the process. I have a question for you at the end. Remind me about the rising. So, so next up from Leo is, um, Virgo. Yes. And Virgo. Virgo will be in the 11th and 12th house. So Mars and the 11th House, you know, the 11th house is all about community. It's about the collective, it's about, um, it's about the fruits of your labor. So it's around, you know, how you build your ecosystem and then how the ecosystem as you serve it, it will serve you. So it's really bringing us back into that kind of like, you know, biodiversity. It's bringing us back into our responsibility to the collective and how we are a part of it. And if we serve. It will serve us. And so, and Mars, you know, seen as the warrior can be seen and the Arjuna story is, is important to hear as well can be seen as that you're in a singular war you're a singular person doing, you know, at war with the world and, you know, through the work that I've done I've often worked with men in business, and they see business as war. Whereas I always say, theater is a game. You know, can't you bring this essence of play to it? You know, I always talk about work as purposeful and profitable play. And can you bring that essence, which then means that you're creating this culture that people want to belong to. Right. So, and Virgo, you know, Virgo can be, can get rigid around the data, but the diagnostics, it can get rigid around, okay, it needs to be done this way. You know, it's so, um, diligent in its kind of allocation of resources and taking care of everyone, you know, Virgo, the archetypes are the sage, the healer and the detective or the, well, maybe not the detective, but the data gatherer. And so in the 11th house, it's around, okay, so how can you use this time to see, you know, where your, your perfectionism is not serving you? You know, where in the community is this isolating you as opposed to bringing people, bringing people closer to you. And so then you, you know, the 12th house is, what are you not seeing. You know, the 12th house are the secrets that the world is keeping from you. So what are you not seeing? So it would be, again, it would be so useful for, to use the 12th house, Mars and 12th house for, to divine those desires to, before you go to bed at night, to set intentions with your dreams. I love that you used the phrase fruits of your labor. I feel like it's really important, not just to get stuck on the 11th house, being friends and community, but also what you have created in the world and how much, what I'm just adding to everything that you're saying, what, how much, what you've created in the world resonates with who you are and your unconscious desire. And I do agree with that going back into your dreams, going back into journaling, but also I think it works the other way around too. Asking your community. Asking the community that you build, what it is that they're seeing your desire is that you're not seeing. And I know that seems really strange, but I feel like it's coming out of you right now. It's really coming out of all your pores that I really want to do this, but you're stopping yourself for some reason, there's a blockage there and Mars will really help you to hone in on that. And we'll really help you to break through. So yes, go into your dreams. I agree with that Eilish so much. And yes, go into your journaling, into your meditation, sit in the asana, you know, pose, but also ask around what it is that is coming through you because your community right now, the fruits of your labor, the friends, friend groups that you've built will help you to see what it is that you're not seeing. That is so oh my God, that's so beautiful. I was at A talk last week, and they were talking about mental resilience and it was a few different people. One was talking about meditation. One was talking about a community they set up for men. And then the other one was talking about culture building. And the question that I didn't ask because everybody was kind of, you know, in that feel good space was, which brings us back to the I to the we. It's like, what are we doing what are we bringing to the community? So again, it brings the locus of control back to really taking care of yourself. And Virgo is, you know, it's around taking care so you can be in service. I mean, the mantra for Virgo is I serve. So how are you taking care of yourself? So asking your community what it is. that you can bring and who it is that you need to be. One of the quotes that I use is that our lives are the compound interest on what we do every day and our society is so focused on the what, but it's who you're being. That is who you become because the what will keep on changing. You know, you'll be a mother, you'll be a sister, you'll be a daughter, you can be a CEO, you can be a cleaner, And as I say, no matter how, how important you are in the world, when you're going for the walk, who's holding the boo back, you know, you know, so it's around. I love that you brought it back to ask your community. Okay. So how am I showing up? And what do you see that I have pure intention? And do you see that I'm coming or am I imposing my Perfection gene on you, are my need for to project manage, you know, it's, it's something that's coming to mind where, you know, I had this interaction with a Virgo yesterday and I was saying, you know, like when you come back from holiday, what you're doing is, is you're on, you're in project management mode. What needs to be done? You know, it's, it's like, Hammy the hamster, like, who's my favorite? He's my favorite Virgo archetype. Yeah. As soon as, you know, as soon as hibernation is over, it's like, okay, okay, okay, we now need to get organized for the next one. So relax here, relax. The Twelfth House is all about, you know, really being able to transcend from the mundane to the magical. You know, it's about the mystical, it's about the mysterious, and it is about the material. You know, so how do you cross those worlds? What a beautiful opportunity, Virgo. Oh, and in yoga, what we talk about is don't go looking for your shadow. Don't go looking for trouble. You don't need to go look for trouble, you know, because when you're moving towards whatever it is that you want to create, you'll meet those blocks. You'll meet that shadow, you know, deal with it when you have to. And there's this obsession with looking for a shadow. Yeah, I agree. Well, also the shadow is so highly misunderstood because whenever people are looking for the shadow, they're looking for the negative. Yeah. Rather than, what Yang actually meant is that shadow is where we hide a lot of our talents as well. Completely. Yeah. Okay, so we've done the first half of the Zodiac. And now we're going to move into the second half. So after Virgo comes Libra and we are in Libra season right now as we're recording this. Um, do I need to edit that out before? No, no, I think that's fine. So we're in Libra season and of course Libra is going to be the 10th and the 11th Wow. So the archetypes of Libra are the judge, the advocate, and the diplomat. And I used to think of Libra as being the networker, but it's not. Gemini is the networker. Um, but Libra, when it's in its power, it is really in harmony, it's an equilibrium, it's able to move between worlds with real ease. It's very social, ruled by Venus, lots of beauty there. And it's other side is super people pleasing. And so with, Mars in your 10th house, you know, what it's asking you is where are you people pleasing? Because 10, 000 is about what do you want to be known for? It's about where your authority is, where your credibility is, it's where your, reputation is, it's your public facing self. So where are you giving yourself away? And where are you actually really standing in your power? Where are you in that space of, of living into the skillful expression of those archetypes? You know, which is that neutrality, which is bringing that, um, bringing ease and bringing flow and being able to bring that while still holding onto who you are. And then the 11th house, of course, you know, the 10th houses. reputations are built, you know, so what are you known for? And then it is the fruits of your labor in the 11th house. It's where the profits from your business are. It's where the profits from your life are. So fruits of labor, I think is probably, that ecosystem. So, you know, what community have you built? And, you know, I mean, again, coming back to, did I speak of the the community where they're building, where they're, they're, they're catching people as they're falling, you know, in that, when they're in depression and they're rescuing them from that place. And, you know, my question is, is that, okay, so how can we teach people to take care of themselves and Libra, how can you take care of yourself? So when you're in that space of releasing that you're coming from this really authentic. Um, space where you're walking your talk and you're in integrity with yourself. So you're building the community and the relationships that as you are taking care of them, they're taking care of you. Yes, absolutely. And just to mention, because you, you did, um, you did use the, use the term wow. When you said Libra rising, it's in the 10th and 11th house. And I think I wanted to say more to that, wow, is referring to it, your, Or not your, but Mars retrograde will be on angles for you. So all the, all the ones on the Aries rising, especially Aries rising because Mars rules, you chart, um, Libra, you know, Capricorn and cancer. Of course, those will be very personal, very deep for you changes that will probably be long lasting. And just to add to your description of it, which I agree wholeheartedly with, we're supposed to reword it is. That Mars will initially go retrograde in your 10th house. That will change how the world sees you because it will change the direction of your career. And I just want to remind you, Leaper Risings, that career doesn't always mean this masculine. Achievement, goal oriented focus in life. It also can mean that you decide to take a step back from your path of achievement and career and climbing that ladder in. The corporate world and maybe go back and become a stay at home mom or a stay at home husband, whatever it is that you are. Or maybe you want to create your own business or maybe you want to change completely what it is that you do in life in any other way. Maybe you want to be a little bit more in your feminine. Because this is happening in Cancer, and you're Libra rising. So, it's all about Venus and Moon here. And the way that the world sees you, and the community that you're building, will change as well. And because Leo is in 11 house, For you of, like you said, communities, and I love what you use before the fruits of your labor. That will change as well what you want to build in the world. Does that resonate with you, Eilish? My apologies for that little interruption. I love the way you expanded reputation and the 10th house from career, because I think partly since The 50s or 60s. And since, you know, the first wave of feminism and we're now on maybe the fifth, you know, that there's been this obsession around career and, you know, and work work until the 70s or 80s was how you provide it for your life. It wasn't your identity as such. It wasn't your reputation. You know, your reputation was, okay, you had a job and you had a professional reputation and, you know, and definitely the Tenth House represents that, but it's very much around how you're seen in the world. And so, so I love how you expanded that. I think that is just fantastic and to be in that space of where it's your whole being is your, is your 10th house. And you know, it's like how you're perceived, you know, it's where you shine, where the sun is shining the highest at its zenith. And so what is your reputation? What do you want to be known for? Yeah. It's a beautiful integration of the masculine and the feminine energies. Yes. And then the subject of reputation and what you want to be known for. We can move forward to Scorpio rising as well. And I love that today's podcast's rising sign because you're recording on your end. It's Scorpio rising again, ruled by Mars. So very personal in terms of reputation and in terms of what you're doing with your life and the retrograde for you guys, Scorpio rising, we'll begin in the ninth house. Thanks. Of your belief systems of higher education and of how you grow and how you learn. You know, this is a very Jupiter house as well.'cause in a natural chart. This is rule by Sagittarius who rules Jupiter. So there's something that you're going to be learning that will completely shift or tweak. What you want to do and how you want to present in the world that will be a shift in Maybe maybe you'll be opposite for you with what I've said with laborizing Maybe you have been staying at home and taking care of the children and all of a sudden You want to you want to have a career of your own? Or maybe that you've been working for someone else and all of a sudden you want to have your own business You know, or maybe you have an opportunity to do something else in the world. Maybe you have a job opportunity, or maybe it won't necessarily relate to your work, but a reputation like a marriage proposal and coming in from the status of a girlfriend or a boyfriend to a wife or a husband. But in a deeper sense, Just remember that this is about the learning. So take an opportunity. If you have an opportunity to learn something, even go back to university, take a course, or maybe you hear something. Someone says a wise teacher take note of that because it might be useful and helpful for you for. how you present yourself in the world. And that's perfect. And what, the two things that come to mind as you're speaking about Scorpio and the ninth and the 10th is the ninth house is about meaning making, you know, so it rules astrology, religion, um, academia, you know, all that. Higher learning as Anastasia said, and it's like, what meaning are you making of your world? And Scorpio, I always describe as being the psychic detective of the Zodiac. So it wants to go deep and remember like Mars behaves differently here than it does when it's in Aries, you know, in Aries, it's sort of, you know, it's the toddler of the Zodiac, you know, by the time it gets to Scorpio, you know, it, it dives deep. And it's about power, you know, and hidden power, you know, very often like, you know, think in terms of like, so you're, you're really want to access where your unique power is where your life force energy and how you want to direct it. And how you want to direct it to build that reputation. So, you know, Scorpio is known as being secretive. It's known as being, you know, there's a sting in its tail. And what Scorpio is, is it's like, it's a deep thinker. You know, still waters run deep. And what that means is not that there's still waters. It means that there's lots of energy running beneath the surface. If you could see my hands right now, we, you know, we have this whole thing going on. There's a lake. So there's lots of energy running. There's a lot of power, but it's not always obvious power. What Eilish meant by, if you could see her hands right now, is she was, she was demonstrating In the air with her hands, the surface and what happened and what is happening beneath the surface. Absolutely. I, I agree with that. There's usually a lot going on with Scorpio and getting that out. And again, going back to as well, just wanted to mention the inner repressed those, those feelings they'll need to come out and finding a healthy outlet for them will be crucial in this time for you guys. Scorpio risings. Yes, yes, yes. I mean, it's a sign of transformation. So it's like, okay, so how do you, how do you access that power? How do you shed the skins? You know, it's got four symbols, you know, it's got the eagle, which means that it's got that macro view. It's got the scorpion, which, you know, we all know about the scorpion, the sting in the tail. And then Snake skin. So it's shed skins. And then the fourth one is the phoenix. So it rises again, you know, so really think in terms of that and use your use that Mars energy. Yeah, for sure. And talk about transformation. Which brings us to Sagittarius Rising because for you guys, for Sagittarius Risings, the transformation will be very, that word will be very important because Mars will go retrograde in your eighth house. So don't be afraid of this word of death and endings because most of the time what the eighth house represents is metaphorical death. The ending of something, something within you, maybe it's a belief system or maybe it's It's something else or a way of living a life or, or a relationship with a friend or a lover. Something is ending it's time for it to let go of that. Because what Sagittarius Rising aims to do is. To adventure, to travel, as Stephen Forrest says, for a Sagittarius archetype, to live a thousand lives within one life. That's why that transformation is very important. So letting go without regret of whatever that needs to be let go of, like again, it might just be your mindset, might be a belief system, it might be a work, or maybe even a dream. And grieving now because 8th house is really just grief. Really sitting with it. And then letting go, that will bring you to the ninth house, and that will bring you to a new belief system, or as you said Eilish, the mind maker, is that correct? Meaning maker. Me, thank you, sorry, meaning maker, to a new meaning in your life. Because in order sometimes for us to create meaning, we have to let go of something. What do you think of that? All endings are new beginnings. And you know, it's a beautiful juxtaposition. You know, I always talk about how every house and every sign, you know, they're, they're guiding you from one thing into another. And so the endings that come with, with the eighth house, the eighth house is, you know, um, shared resources. It's mantra is I share, it shares the grief, it shares the money, it shares the death, um, there's also anything that's taboo, there's taxes in there, you know, the eighth house is, is a busy house, but it's the secrets that we keep from others, you know, so what part of yourself have you not owned in a sense, and then that you can liberate. from this ending and liberate yourself into that ninth house. And the ninth house allows you like, it's the, it's the house of, you know, it's the centaur who's shooting the arrow and it's like, it's time to dream a new dream. I love that. It's time to dream a new dream or, or find that dream that you've always been looking for. I like that too. Great. Yeah. Now we're, we're so close. We got free to go. Capricorn Rising. I feel like Capricorn rising. This is, this is really important to look into your close relationships, your business partnerships, but of course your marriage and your, and your romantic relationships if you don't have one. That is romantic. Look at your close friends. They will be reflecting to you what you need to see within yourself. How are you treating yourself? So let's say that, you know, because you have cancer in the seven house, let's say that you're, you've noticed that your partner is not giving you as much care and love and attention and affection. As you need, then the mirror in that is not to say, how am I not giving him or her the love and attention is more to look into how am I not giving myself the love and attention that I need. And when we start giving ourselves that love, we notice that the people around us either change or our partners, our friends, our business partners begin to treat us differently as well. What would you say, Eilish? Capricorn is about governance. It's the builder. And so it is around self governance in the seventh house. And what contracts are you making? You know, so, so Mars, Mars is ambition, will, energy. What contracts are you making? Are you making contracts with friends? Are you making contracts in love? Are you making contracts with open enemies? Yes. So, you know, there is that keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer. And so. How are you being a friend and where are you being your own enemy, which really builds on what you're saying, you know, is that the relationship with others will show you your relationship with yourself. And again, I think this comes back to, you know, Capricorn, because Capricorn I always think of as building to last, you know, it wants its structures, Capricorn rules the bones, the skeleton, um, and so it, it wants to build in a way that, you know, your daily practice is serving you. Which will come from the sixth house, but we'll talk about that in a moment. So it's between sixth and, within seventh house. It's very much around, how am I taking care? How is today for tomorrow? And again, coming back to that thing of, you know, um, seventh house is that, what do you want a bigger experience of? Um, and. And you give that to yourself. And if you're in partnership, ask the other person, what do they want a bigger experience of? And how can you help them have that bigger experience? And how can they have that bigger experience? Yes, and because it will be happening in your seven and your eight house, this also comes back to ending and beginning. So what contracts do you need to end? Maybe it's a contract with yourself, an unconscious contract, like I am giving too much energy to people and, and letting that die. So what needs to die in order for something else to be sprouted? To be reborn. Yes. Yeah. And, and, and am I fulfilling my contracts and what information am I not? revealing for those contracts to be able to flow. Yes. And that's crucial. That is very important as well. So not just how others are treating you, but how are you treating others? Are you, where's that giving and receiving, you know, comes into play and is it, are you grateful for everything that you receiving from the other? Are you there for them as much as they're there? They're for you. Oh, yeah. They're so, so important. Is that, is that balance between giving and receiving and again, coming back to that, it's in the giving that we receive. And so when we're giving from that space, and I think this is so seventh house of, um, of giving from the place where we're really feel full, you know, so we're giving from an overflowing cup. And so when we enter into contract, we're, it's not that we feel that we're going to be diminished or we're going to be depleted, but that we have more than enough to share. And like, and that's very Seventh Eighth House. Absolutely. And which brings us to Aquarius Rising, which will be similar themes. Thanks. But expressed differently. When Aquarius in the sixth house is day to day, Aquarius is very aspirational. It's rebellious. It's rules tech. It's all of those things. And it's like, it's the day to day, how are you setting up your day to day? And, you know, and this is how are you in action in the world would be how Mars is, but we're in Mars retrograde. So it's really considering. How is your day to day working? Are you again, the power of the balls? You know, are you doing your spiritual practice before you enter your day? I mean, the reason you do a spiritual practice before you enter your day, you're basically doing your laundry, your psychic laundry. So you enter each day clean and fresh. And for Aquarius, that's so important because it's so concerned with the collective. It's so concerned with, wanting a new way. It wants things to be better. It's the innovator. It's the aspirational sign. And then what you're doing then is if you're bringing that into your one to one relationships, you know, you're coming in fresh. So rather than being that, I already always know you're in the space of Oh, tell me more. Because there's nothing worth it than being in a relationship where you're already always listening for what you already always know. And I really believe that the more important words in the world than I love you are, tell me more. We can remain curious about the people that we're closest to. Absolutely. And not only just being in that routine space, like you've mentioned, because Aquarius is ruled by Saturn traditionally. So even though you guys have Cancer in the 6th house, oftentimes, there might be that obsession with routines and being stuck in the loophole of doing the same thing over and over again. And then, Stopping and pausing and seeing who are the people around me and am I listening to them? So I a hundred percent agree with that. Growing bigger ears during this time. And it's like bringing the reality to your ritual. So I've recently come to see that our systems and our SOPs, and it's very good to set up templates to do things, but to approach them as, In reality, not in ritual, because when we approach things in ritual, um, we can be in that space of where we're just doing it and we're not present. We're not bringing our presence to it. And there's nothing more, there's nothing more dissatisfying than for it to be in conversation with somebody or to be in connection with somebody who's not there. Yeah, absolutely. I agree with you. So being, being present with yourself and with the other, because oftentimes we get so caught up in our work and our routine that we lose ourselves in that too. And we forget why we're doing what we're doing. So being with those emotions, you know, cancer, six house being with those feelings again, coming back to that, what am I creating? What is my desire? What do I actually want? And then pausing sometimes is really good. It feels like taking 10 step backwards, but it's, it's really is honing in on. What are you trying to do here? And redirecting yourself. What has to be Pisces Pisces rising. Oh wow Pisces rising in fifth and sixth house. Yeah. So, so similar to Aquarius because it's going to be starting in the six houses. What is my routine? And it's kind of a little bit opposite of Aquarius because Pisces seems to be so far away from Saturn for Pisces to be in close, in cahoots with Saturn. Saturn, they need to have practice of discipline and practice of understanding why it's so important. And then seeing, do I have the proper routine for my mental health, for my physical health, for my wellbeing? Do I know what I'm doing here every day with my life? What are the small steps that I'm taking every day in order for the self actualization, the self expression to come through as authentically and naturally as it can? And it's devotion. It's devotion to the discipline, really realizing how your disciplines work for you. I remember, um, it was one of the William sisters that may have been Venus, which one is the tall one? It's Venus, isn't it? And she was talking about how. You turn up every day and you practice and you practice and you practice. And she said, and then you really see how it serves your game. Like it serves what it is that you're trying to achieve. And then she said, you just become so devoted to your discipline. I met this pianist, um, But I was at a wedding in Virginia and she talked about her mother never had to ask her to practice from the age of three. Like I've never seen somebody play piano like this girl. It was extraordinary. And that is the devotion, you know, it's absolute devotion. And for Pisces who can get lost between the worlds, self sabotage, And get into addictions, be addicted to that which serves you that which is promoting you, you know, it's can be the most creative of the signs and here you have it in the house of creativity. And so it's around okay so. What is the dream that you want to realize? And what daily practices do you need to bring to that? So yeah, I think that's um, what an opportunity for Pisces Rising. Absolutely. What an opportunity for every single sign. And I'm so grateful we did this together again. I feel like this was very Deep and exactly what I needed to understand the Mars retrograde myself a little bit more, but saying that we have come to an end of our horoscope. Is there anything else you'd like to add, Eilish? Um, I've loved it. I've loved it. And it's interesting to interpret it, you know, from a similar point of view. And also quite differently because it's, astrology is a meaning making tool. It's a framework for understanding yourself is how I see it. So you can create yourself. You can see where your gifts are. You can see where your challenges are and how you can use your challenges as gifts, which is, um, both of our takes on Jupiter. And what's so interesting about astrology is how dynamic it is. Yeah. And I think that's core to the practices is kind of getting to know yourself and then being able to respond to these transits to be able to use the progressions and to be able to use the transits and go right. Okay, so what opportunity is being presented to me now. What's the invitation I always say it's invitational rather than prescriptive. What is the invitation in this moment in time? For sure. It's remembering all those things and I hope you guys found this useful and I hope that if you need to at any point during Mars Retrograde, when it, when it gets tough and when it gets confusing, you can go back to this podcast, listen to it again, go back to the minute where. You know, we describe your rising sign and really meditate on that and see if, if you can find something that would help you go for whatever it is that you're going through. Otherwise, I, I agree. I loved it. This was great. So I know that we're both going to put this on our individual podcasts, but I just wanted to mention for both of us that everything that you guys, need in order to contact both of us will be in the description below for both of our podcasts. We both do readings for different things. Eilish, I think you do mostly. Branding and readings and understanding the people's story and helping them unfold what their life story is and connect them to what they're doing in their life. And for me, I mostly help people find. It's similar, but it's worded differently, find meaning in what they're doing and release anxiety around what it is that's going on for you at this time too. So yeah, but for now, anything else? So I mainly work with creatives and I mainly work with creatives in terms of being able to frame their story and frame their business using a mixture of modern and Vedic astrology for to do that. So how can the stories that you're telling yourself help you resource yourself and resource your business for to do the work that matters to you while you're building the life that you love living? Yes, that's magical. I love that. I think we've been talking for a while now, so let's wrap this up, but I appreciate everyone for listening until the end if you're still here, and to us, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'd love to talk to you, any comments, anything like that, but otherwise for now, that's all she wrote. Thank you. So thank you for listening. I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. If you enjoyed it, please. Be sure to follow and share it with your fellow creatives. It's how these conversations expand and grow. So there are two ways to work with me. You can book a brand strategy workshop, you could also book an Astro brand blueprint session to explore my one-to-one coaching. You can find out more on my website. Alish, appreciate.com. And on Instagram. At Eilish. Appreciate thank you for listening. And until next time. Wishing you a wonderful day.And the music taking you out is. Uh, GTE a J E T that you can find on Spotify. Isn't it stunning.
